Starting to fade
you started to fade
not only from my mind
my fingers couldn’t touch
the soft skin
that was once mine
but your smile
with your perfect teeth
and red big lips
that I’d kiss as we left everyone behind
are still on my mind
as the moon light
brought a shine to your eyes
so big brown and comforting
that made you stop and smile
I catch myself at staring for a long while
the person you brought out of me
the feeling that you gave me
I can’t compare what I felt when you were near
I know that it can’t continue now
